Long Vowel Sounds

Today we brainstormed rhyming words from our poem. We talked about vowel digraphs - two vowels together that make one sound. Have a look at this Between the Lions video... I bet the song will get stuck in your heads!

Synonyms

Today we learned about our new reading activity called Superword! You have to come up with as many synonyms for the superword as you can! This Between the Lions video gave us some inspiration.

Co-operation!

Sporting Fun

Today we were lucky to have a session with Jeremy from Kelly Sports. The children participated in a range of large and small ball games. It was heaps of fun!

Welcome to Year 4!

Hello children and families

Welcome to Room 9 and Year 4.

What an awesome first day we have had starting to get to know each other. Our 'big' topic for the first two terms of the year is forces. We are starting with social forces and a focus on differences and similarities between people.

Do you think being different is special? Why? Are there times when it's important that we're the same as others? Please leave a comment sharing your thoughts.
